EFT
(Emotional Freedom Technique)

EFT is a great tool for anyone experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, PTSD/trauma and cravings for its calming and grounding effects. By physically sending calming signal to the brains threat detection centre.

I see people online and in-person at my beautiful practice in Henfield, West Sussex.

How it works...

EFT tapping combines elements of cognitive behavioural therapy CBT with acupressure. By physically tapping with your fingertips on certain meridian points it sends an electrochemical, calming signal to the amygdala, the brains threat detection centre. I often use alongside my hypnotherapy sessions for its calming and grounding effects.

Clinical trials have shown that a session of tapping significantly reduces the cortisol, the biological stress hormone.

EFT facilitates memory reconsolidation. By feeling physically safe whilst mentally recalling an upsetting event or trauma, the brain can then process that event, often disconnecting the emotional element and enabling the memory to be stored in a more manageable way.

Abstract Line Pattern

EFT helps to switch off the fight, flight, freeze response and provide emotional regulation. For this reason, it is a great tool for anyone experiencing anxiety, panic attacks and the like.

Sessions are £120 for 90 minutes

 I offer a 10% discount on a package of 3 for £324.

Online sessions are conducted via zoom and follow the same format as in-person but from the comfort of your own home or familiar surrounding.

"I recently went to see Sophie for some hypnotherapy for  my fear of public speaking . Sophie herself is extremely good at making you  feel safe and open  about your reason for being there. I found that being able to have a relaxed and honest conversation was freeing in itself but the trance that Sophie would run through with me each week was invaluable,  like a massage for my brain . I found after each session that I was calm and focussed  for the week ahead.

When I had to do my first presentation  I felt much more in control and less anxious  about it."
